Ceramic Ring 500g By Juwel Aquarium

Ceramic rings are a cornerstone of modern aquarium filtration. Their unique hollow shape and porous structure allow water to flow through and around them, ensuring that the beneficial bacteria colonies receive the oxygen and nutrients they need to keep the water safe for fish.

Key Features:

• Superior Biological Filtration: The micro-porous surface acts as a breeding ground for nitrifying bacteria, which naturally convert toxic fish waste (ammonia) into less harmful nitrates.

• Optimal Water Flow: The cylindrical "ring" design prevents the media from clogging easily and ensures maximum water contact time, even in high-flow filter systems.

• Durable & Long-Lasting: Made from high-quality ceramic material that does not degrade or affect the water pH. They are designed for long-term use without needing frequent replacement.

• Versatile Application: Suitable for use in a variety of filtration systems, including canister filters, internal filters, top filters, and sump systems.

• Safe for All Environments: Completely inert and safe for all types of aquatic life in freshwater, brackish, or marine setups.

Technical Specifications:

• Weight: 500 Grams

• Material: Porous Ceramic

• Shape: Hollow Cylindrical Rings

Usage Tips:

1. Initial Rinse: Always rinse the ceramic rings thoroughly with clean water (or aquarium water) before placing them in your filter to remove any transport dust.

2. Placement: Place the rings in the biological section of your filter, ideally after the mechanical filtration (sponges/floss) to keep them clear of debris.

3. Cleaning: When the rings appear dirty, gently rinse them in a container of dechlorinated aquarium water during a water change. Never use tap water, as the chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria.

4. Partial Replacement: If you choose to replace them, only replace about half at a time to ensure the biological balance of the tank remains stable.
